Dossier Approved!

We got the official notice that our home study was approved by our agency, and we paid our second fee!
If you're eagle-eyed, you may notice that we've added a couple of steps to our checklist. As we have a greater understanding of each individual step, we are adding those steps to our list.
Some people have asked about the timeline and process, so here is an update (at least to our understanding): Once we receive the letter indicating that our home study has been approved, we then apply for immigration approval for our adoption. This takes 2-3 months. Then, we can send in our dossier to Bulgaria's Ministry of Justice. They take about 3-4 weeks to translate things, then a couple of months to review and approve the application. Then, it's a wait for a match (what was originally a 1-5 year estimate is now a 2-3 year estimate). Then we review the match, talk with a pediatrician to discuss any medical needs and preparations we need to make, and accept the match. Then, the first trip is set as soon as possible (3-4 weeks). Then the adoption process is finalized and we travel 4-6 months after trip 1 to bring our child(ren) home.
Thank you for all the support! We are truly feeling the love. We will continue to update you all as things move. We will also continue to fundraise, because as we all know, travel expenses are going up, and we don't know what the future holds.
